The north coast of California has a certain romance to it. It is dotted with numerous quaint towns hugging the shore where rocky outcroppings offer protection from the dramatic sea. Nearby, Mendocino is perhaps the best known town because of its beautiful Victorian homes built by the original lumbermen, and its fine restaurants, art galleries, shops and lovely gardens that bloom year round. Mendocino boasts more artists per capita than any other town in the United States, and their artistry is on display throughout the region. The rugged coast, secluded beaches and beautiful flowers make the area attractive year round to vacationers, and to the film industry as well. Many movies have been filmed here, including one at our ranch. The beaches are gorgeous for walking and are never crowded.
